Anna Carolina Schmidt educated us on her native Brazil and summarized her year as a Rotary Exchange Student.
We were happy to have the delightful Anna return with a PowerPoint presentation on her home country. She hails from Santos, Brazil, a city of 500,000 where snow is an unknown commodity. Brazil is a large country with some big cities, including Sao Paulo with a population of 17 million and Rio de Janeiro, where the famous Carnival is held each year. Portuguese is the national language; soccer is the national sport, and beans-and-rice is the meal of choice. When she returns home Anna looks forward to more education, possibly with an interruption for employment with a cruise line.
