Hosting us at the Platte River Inn, Susan Leoni described how she and husband John purchased and completely renovated the place.

Veterans of the restaurant business, Susan and John's last venture ended when their ice cream parlor in Grawn burned to the ground. When they purchased Money's Platte River Inn, it was a turn-key situation--just as though the previous owners had left work one day and never returned. It took eleven months to clean up and remodel the place. After six months in business the Leonis are serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with about thirty employees. Future plans include the opening of a lounge in space once occupied by an antique store. Everyone agreed that the place is a welcome addition to the Village of Honor.
