Dr. Pepper returned to talk about his upcoming mission to Arequipa, as well as to show photos from his family adventure at Peru's Manu National Park.

In October Dr. Pepper, accompanied by 10 Rotarians and spouses and 12 doctors and nurses, will return to his hometown of Arequipa on both a medical mission and a mission for the Elohim Elementary School.  Sunrise Rotary is supporting the mission both financially and through the participation of three of its members and two spouses.  Dr. Pepper showed photos of Arequipa and its buildings of white lava rock, as well as the mountains that surround the town. We also saw the school where the work will be done and brief views of the post-mission destinations:  the Colca Canyon and Machu Pichu.

Dr. Pepper also shared photos from his 1995 family adventure to the headwaters of the Amazon River at Peru's Manu National Park.  The Park lies between the eastern slopes of the Andes mountains and the Madre de Dios jungle.  It took the Pepper family four days by canoe to reach the Park, but Dr. Pepper describes the trip as the adventure of a lifetime.  Among the creatures photographed there was the jaguar, king of the Peruvian jungle.
