On April 22 Sunrise Rotarians assisted with Benzie Central Schools teacher in-service and teacher appreciation day. The Club provided desserts for the teachers and bussed the tables after their lunch.
After a career in teaching Rotarian Phil Lambert is acutely aware of personal resources that teachers expend to enhance the learning for their students. Phil always looks for ways to assist our dedicated teachers to succeed in sucessfully educating children in the community. In furtherance of this goal the attending Rotarians held a raffle for all of the attending teachers. Each teacher received a ticket for the drawing, and the five winners each received a prize of $50. As pictured in our photo album, the winning teachers were Cassondra Bentley, Nancy Reed, Ashley Lindstrom, Mark Wassa, and Sarah Slade. Sunrise Rotarians on hand were Paul Clulo, Pat Kiely, Jim Drubert, Kim Simon, Jack Harnish and Phil Lambert.
