School sponsor Rebecca looks on as Benzie Central senior Annabelle Fortine receives Service Above Self recognition from David Sylvester.
Annabelle has maintained a 3.8 GPA and has received many academic honors at Benzie Central. At the same time she has participated in a wide variety of activities, including Science Olympiad, Youth Advisory Council, Key/Interact Club and Student Council. She has also been on the cheerleading squad and the Track team.
One of Annabelle's favorite programs is Teacher Academy through the Career Tech Center. She works with teachers and students at Crystal Lake Elementary, which has led her to decide that she wishes to pursue a career in education. She already has been accepted by Central Michigan University and Grand Valley State University.
