At today's meeting we recognized two Service Above Self winners from Benzie Central Middle School: Benjamin DeRidder and Grayson Converse.
Benjamin was last March's honoree, but schools shut down before we could salute him. According to his teachers Benjamin is an outstanding student who is also a role model He participates in three sports and also is involved with Student Council. Outside of school Benjamin participates in community projects and is in charge of audio equipment when religious classes are held at church.
Grayson Converse is this month's Middle School winner. He is a repeat winner, having also been recognized for Service Above Self as a 7th Grader. At school he is involved in football, basketball and baseball, as well as Student Council.
He is passionate about the environment and aspires to be a DNR Officer.
