This morning our guest speaker was Michelle Barefoot, Executive Director Benzie County Chamber of Commerce.
Barefoot joined the chamber world as operations manager at the height of a global pandemic and the departure of The Convention and Visitors’ Bureau. She is also a bookkeeper for Labadie’s Summer Place Casuals and a ski instructor at Crystal Mountain.
Michelle described three difficulties and the areas in which she is working to build a better Benzie, including Workforce Development, Broadband, and Childcare. She has worked hard to improve the Chamber's website making it a great resource for businesses to promote themselves and connect with potential customers.
