James Barker is the CEO of Munson Healthcare's South Region, covering Munson facilities in Cadillac, Manistee and Frankfort.
The Munson Cadillac Hospital has 49 acute-care beds and has been ranked by the National Rural Hospital Association as one of the top 20 rural hospitals in the nation. Munson's Manistee Hospital has 45 acute-care beds and among other things an Emergency Department and several rehab and clinic services. Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital in Frankfort has 35 long-term beds and is a Critical Access Hospital with an Emergency Department.
Paul Oliver is partnering with the Benzie-Leelanau District Health Department and HONU Labs to provide free COVID testing twice a week in Benzie County (nearly 800 tests thus far!). Paul Oliver also has provided monoclonal antibody therapy to more than 310 COVID patients.
Munson also has a new Speciality Clinic in Frankfort, offering service in several areas:
