Jim Drubert gave us an entertaining and funny “Getting to Know You” presentation this morning. He has been a Benzie Sunrise Rotary member since 2019
Jim is currently retired but previously worked as a court administrator in a number of trial courts. He loved his job because there was always something new to learn. He was responsible for HR, budget, planning, process improvement, technology development, essentially CEO of all non-judicial functions of the trial court. His first paying job was mowing lawns and bailing hay. Hay bailing lasted for three days, and he was paid $5/day. He also worked at the end of a conveyor belt at Amway packing shoeshine products into boxes. He compared it to the chocolate conveyer belt scene from The Lucille Ball Show when she could not keep up with the conveyer!
