Dave Wynne was the second new member to talk about his life.

Dave was the oldest of five children of a father who was a graduate of the Naval Academy and a career naval officer. For the Wynnes this meant living at a variety of places, including Coronado, the Marshall Islands, Miami and Washington, D.C., where Dave went to high school.  Then his father was transferred to the Crane Naval Depot in southern Indiana, which led Dave to college at Indiana University.

While Dave's original plan was to become a doctor, he ended up getting a liberal arts degree in anthropology and zoology. After briefly exploring a career in these fields Dave took a job with A.B. Dick & Co., for whom he worked the next 18 years. Dave worked in a number of different cities and became National Sales Manager for one of the company's divisions.  He then worked for Stenograph, a company that produces court reporting equipment.

Dave's mother grew up in Evanston and as a child came to the CSA every summer.  Upon their retirement Dave's parents moved to the CSA.  Similarly, upon their retirement Dave and Jan moved to CSA.  Dave says his present career is volunteerism.  In addition to his activities at Sunrise Rotary, Dave is involved with his siblings in charitable activities in Central America.  Locally he helps seniors prepare their income tax returns and also is an officer at the Crystal Lake & Watershed Association.  Another fine addition to our Club!
