Susan Johnson is the Coordinator of Community Family Mentors, an organization founded by retired Probate Judge Nancy Kida to assist families who could benefit from mentored parenting time.
As Judge Kida observed from the bench, many families are in transition because of divorce, death of a parent, homelessness or custody issues. Not all families have traditional networks to support them during times of crisis.
Community Family Mentors seek to address the void in Benzie and Manistee Counties by providing mentored parenting time through group activities and services. To do this the organization recruits and trains volunteers. Anyone interested in pursuing this rewarding activity should contact Susan Johnson at communityfamilymentors1@gmail.com.
