Kimmy Wenkel told us about the new children's museum that will be opening shortly at 244 S. Benzie Blvd in downtown Beulah.

The new facility will provide outside-the-classroom experiences for school kids. Kimmy has been forming a network with numerous local agencies and putting together a growing team of volunteers. The team has been seeking input from teachers as to what students would like from a facility whose mission is to facilitate learning.

The Center plans to have interactive exhibits that will be both educational and entertaining.  Events will include demonstrations and programs from speakers.  On Kimmy's wish list for the Center are such things as a "snap circuit," a programmable robot, a cog wall, virtual reality and a 3-D printer.

The Sheriff and other members showed their support for the new venture with several suggestions.
