Today Val Gerhart led us in a Club Meeting.

At our meeting we broke into Zoom "breakout rooms" (a first for many of us) to discuss two questions:
  • What is it about the Benzie Sunrise Rotary Club that keeps us involved?
  • What is the one thing we could change that would make our club more appealing to others in the community?
When we got back together, we discussed the ideas brought up in the breakout rooms.

Val reported that in-person Club meetings are targeted to begin on July 13th at Lucky Dog, with a continental breakfast for all but with a hot breakfast option.  Among the advantages of the venue will be the ability to have our live meeings Zoomed.  There will be no Tuesday meeting the first week of each month.  Instead we will meet at Five Shores at 5:00 p.m. for Thirsty Thursday.

Finally Val reviewed the ways to give through Rotary.  We can give to the Rotary International Foundation--a requisite for qualifying for a District Match Grant.  We can also donate to a regional nonprofit and have up to $250 in donations matched by the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation each year.
