Benzie Sunrise Rotary met for a club assembly on June 30, 2026.  This was the last meeting for Terry Taylor as President. Members honored Terry for all of his good work and his stewardship over the last year. Michelle Russell gave an update on the work of the Financial Literacy Committee.  Handouts explaining the financial life of Benzie Sunrise Rotary were shared with all.  The Financial Literacy Committee grew from our visioning effort.  Val Gerhart gave a detailed report on the recent Bike Benzie Tour.  Our meeting room was decorated with signs from the tour.  The signs that were created by Barb Skurdal and posted on the routes. The signs provided highlights of BSR projects and beneficiaries.  Dave Wynne gave an update on the efforts of the Benzie Sunrise Rotary Foundation over the last year.  The foundation has provided $234,779 in grants to community non profits since 2017. The meeting was topped off with a very generous round of happy dollars from members. It was a very productive year for Benzie Sunrise Rotary.  We look forward to another great year under the guidance of President Carol Burns.
