Club President Kim Simon ran today's taking-care-of-business program.

Traverse City Rotarian Al Bonney gave a brief presentation on the Ironman event on September 12th in Frankfort.  He is looking for 40 kayakers to help monitor the swimming portion of the competition.

Phyllis Kladder wanted Club members to be aware of the poignant details concerning the backgrounds of our two scholarship winners, Alana Kuhlen and Cierra Guay.

Bill Kennis gave a shout out to Benzie Central for the school's assistance in connection with Thursday's concert in Beulah.  He also provided an update on Saturday's Bike Fest, urging everyone to attend.

Val Gerhart gave a presentation on the Club's website, as well as the Club Runner app.  With regard to the former she reviewed various parts of the website, including the now up-to-date Calendar, Photo Albums, Club Documents and Directories.  She also instructed us on how to download and use the Club Runner app for smart phones.  She reminded us that the Ursa Major website is needed for placing breakfast orders for our meetings at Lucky Dog..

David Oellerich is working with the Frankfort Rotary on a project that will result in District Grants to the Garden Theater and BACN.  Our Foundation Board will have a special meeting on the subject in the near future.  David is also coordinating the resupply of BSR shirts and apparel.

Kim noted that Lucky 13 tickets have been ordered and should be available soon.  We will continue to meet at Grow Benzie until our space at Lucky Dog is available--hopefully in mid-September.
