High School Senior Abby Bretzke receives Service Above Self recognition from Sunrise Rotarian David Sylvester. At Benzie Central Abby has maintained a 4.0 GPA while being captain of the cross-country, basketball and track teams.
In addition to being a student-athlete, Abby has been a leader in three different clubs, including Key Club/Interact Club sponsored by Sunrise Rotary. She also has participated in a variety of community activities both locally and in a Rotary-sponsored mission trip to the Dominican Republic, where the group built the foundation for two houses (and Abby learned how to tie rebar, mix cement and lay brick).
Next year Abby will attend Michigan Tech, where she hopes to continue serving the community.
