Frankfort Rotarian MaryAnn Norton Short leads a group of Sunrise Rotarians in Bal-A-Vis -X.

A retired educator, MaryAnn is a Bal-A-Vis-X trainer and practitioner.  Bal-A-Vis -X is a series of Balance, Auditory and Vision Exercises that integrate the brain/body system using sand-filled bags and balls crossing the three midlines of the body multiple times. MaryAnn says the rhythm and predictability of the exercises help anchor changes in the ways the brain and body work together to improve quality of life and movement.  The predictable, rhythmic movement and focused atention also address stress and a variety of other problems.

MaryAnn followed her presentation with an exercise showing that even seasoned (shall we say) Rotarians can learn new tricks.
