Our Partnership with Benzie Cental Middle School

Middle School Principal Dave Clasen reviewed past successes and proposed ventures between his school and Sunrise Rotary.
Dave is enthusiastic about the success of the Career Days we provided last year for 7th graders, as well as the CHOICES program we presented more recently to 8th graders. Plans are underway to repeat both programs.
With the help of several Club members Dave also outlined ideas for some new programs:
- 8th grade field trip to MSU
- Choices scholarships
- Monthly Service-Above-Self award
- Brick/patio project
- Middle School Store and Entrepreneur Club
Club members expressed their enthusiasm for these proposals and their approval of our hands-on involvement with the school and its students.
