Steve grew up on on a farm in Southern Iowa and in Ames Iowa.  Steve was active in sports earning a football scholarship to a Junior College in Southern California. Finding that the fast paced California lifestyle wasn't for him he moved back to Iowa enrolling at the University of Iowa.  Steve walked on and was a member of the Iowa Hawkeyes football team!  Steve then transferred to William Penn University In Iowa where he again played football.  Steve then transferred to Southwest Minnesota State where he earned his business degree in finance.

Steve's professional career started at U.S. Bank in Marshall, Minnesota working his way up from Collections to the position of Financial Analyst.  Steve had visited his sister who lives in Traverse City many times over the years and fell in love with the area.  The opportunity to move to this area presented itself when he was offered a position as a Credit Analyst at Northwestern Bank in Traverse City.  Steve accepted the position moved to the west side of Traverse City where he currently resides.  Shortly after accepting the position with Northwestern Bank the bank merged with Chemical Bank.  This change led Steve to his current position as a Commercial Lender with Central State Bank in Beulah. Steve has been a great addition to our club and recently agreed to take on the responsibility of leading the Middle School INTERACT club at Benzie Central Middle School.  We are happy to have Steve as a member of our club!
