Leslye Wuerfel, CFO and GM of the Traverse City Beach Bums, told us about the team that she and her husband own.
A native of Traverse City, Leslye and husband John spent many years in the hospitality business. Seven years ago they started a professional baseball team and named it the Beach Bums to let outsiders know about the 182 miles of area beaches. The team is part of the independent Frontier League. Leslye described the amenities of Wuerfel Park, as well as its special events, particularly those that honor our veterans.
