Fernanda Cabrera gave us a PowerPoint presentation on her home town of Xicotepec, Mexico.

Jointly sponsored by Sunrise Rotary and the Frankfort Club, Fernanda showed off Xicotepec, a city on the edge of the mountains northeast of Mexico City whose architecture reflects its Spanish origins. Mexico is largely Catholic, and Fernanda described several religious celebrations.

Her program included photographs of her handsome family, including the grandparents who live in a separate home on the same property as Fernanda's immediate family.  She also showed us some of her school mates--both in their normal uniforms and in less formal gym outfits. She gave us a primer on Mexican food (and meal times), and described differences in Mexican and American education. Fernanda serves as a fine representative of Rotary's International Exchange Program!
