Chuck Oldanie, Tampa Bay realtor and Rotarian, told us about the global collaborative initiative that is building homes in Mumbai, India and in other places around the world.

Chuck says that Habitat for Humanity and Rotary Clubs make a great fit.  Habitat is currently building 80% of the homes outside of the U.S., and Chuck has been involved with collaborative builds in Belize, Malawi, China and India.  Rotary has a large presence in Mumbai, with some 70 Rotary clubs on each side of the city.  Rotaract is also very strong in Asia, and its members have participated in building projects there.

Seeds of Peace is a nonprofit based in New York that seeks to build peace by bringing together Palestinian and Israeli kids at a summer camp in Maine.  Through dialogue the campers begin to see things through the eyes of those on the other side of their conflict.
