Cadillac Rotarian Barbara Darrigan described the grants available to Clubs for local and international Rotary projects.

At the District level there are District Designated Funds and District Simplified Grants. Under the first, the funds contributed by a local Club are matched such that a $3,000 contribution becomes a $10,500 one. Under the Simplified Grants such as the Haiti project of the Traverse City club, local club contributions are matched up to $1,000.

District Foundation projects can involve such things as water filters, Shelterboxes, books, coats and car seats. Some of these (like water filters and Shelterboxes) are international in scope, while others (like coats and car seats) serve local beneficiaries. Barb encouraged us to help fund these worthwhile projects under the principle of "Every Rotarian Every Year."
